Matt O'Connor has spent his career navigating high-stakes environments where decisions matter and preparation is the difference. He founded ForeSight Strategies LLC because that same standard of readiness should be available to every organization, not just the ones with badges.
As a Watch Commander, SWAT Assistant Commander, Sniper Commander, and certified WAVR-21 Behavioral Threat Assessment practitioner, Matt has led high-risk operations, managed active threat responses, and built training programs that have shaped hundreds of front-line supervisors and safety personnel across the Bay Area. His experience extends into Emergency Operations Centers, where he has served during natural disasters and large scale mechanical emergencies, coordinating response efforts across multiple agencies under real pressure and real time constraints.
Across a broad range of operational and leadership roles, Matt has conducted more than 200 security assessments and presentations spanning schools, hospitals, businesses, care homes, and houses of worship. He has facilitated threat assessment meetings alongside security professionals from Fortune 500 companies and leading biotech firms. That breadth of exposure gives him something most consultants simply do not have: a firsthand understanding of how vulnerability presents differently depending on the environment, the culture, and the people inside it.

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in criminology and a master's degree in organizational leadership from the University of Oklahoma, and carries multiple certifications and instructor ratings recognized by California POST. His consulting work integrates OSHA compliance, SB 553 workplace violence prevention requirements, and modern best practices into strategies tailored to fit how your organization actually operates.
